Jim Gentes, the man behind Giro – founded the illustrious cycling brand more than 30 years ago, he was obsessed with design and wanted create answers to unsolved problems, he wanted to answer the unmet needs of cycle riders the world over, this clear obsession drove Gentes to start the production of his own products that serves the rider with unique design and high quality performance.

In the last 30 years, the world and indeed the cycling market has changed exponentially, however, through it all – Giro has stayed on it’s path to creating world renowned products for all of it’s riders advancing with the times to accommodate the needs of all. It’s well documented that Giro themselves are more focused on product development and design than many of their competitors – this is a company that holds no qualms about arguing for weeks about the difference less than a millimetre in a footwear last, or a vent on a helmet will make.
