Careful engineering work has made it possible to further reduce the weight by over 200 grams, allowing the complete bike assembly to remain easily under the UCI weight limit (6.8 kg). The golden rule of Basso engineering: We meticulously study carbon to enhance its characteristics through its shape. In the areas where energy is generated and discharged – the bottom bracket and steering area -, the circular shape, in addition to reducing the thickness and weight of the tubes, gives greater torsional rigidity, so that all the pedalling energy translates into progression and riding precision. This solution allows to obtain greater lightness, rigidity and control, with the result of not losing power and acquiring stability.
